Art washes away from the soul......

Hi Everyone and Welcome

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend and are feeling all refreshed and ready for the week ahead. In between a few sunny summer strolls this weekend I have spent some time 'playing' with my much neglected of late alcohol inks. It was great to remind myself how much I love working with this fabulous product. Usually I veer towards the blue/ green tones of Tim Holtz Alcohol inks but this time I went with a whole kaleidoscope of colours and here's the result .
I worked on Tim Holtz Yupo, adding drops of alcohol ink straight from the bottle, letting them bleed and blend with each other.
I stencilled using black acrylic paint through a couple of stencils, added some white highlights around the stencilling and some black pen dots and lines here and there.
I heat embossed Picasso's quote using black Archival ink and clear embossing powder and although  in the photo below the camera lens hasn't picked up the lovely sheen the embossing creates
it has in this one
 this one
and this one.
I also added some paint marks and splatters and embellished the corners of the quote panel with gem dots.
Though this could be used for a greeting card or as an art panel to display I am thinking it will make a great art journal cover, maybe a black paged journal....mm even better! So that's the plan just have to decide now whether to buy or make .........
I would like to enter this into the following challenges
Country View Crafts June 2018 Challenge : The Written Word (add text in some form)
Crop Stop June link Party #40 'Anything Goes'

Thank you as always for stopping by today. Your visits, follows and kind words are very much appreciated.
Hope you all have a lovely week and until the next time take care
and keep on the happy side
Amanda
